National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). The national certifying body for Acupuncturists. Their mission statement: To assure the safety and well-being of the public and to advance the professional practice of acupuncture and Oriental medicine by establishing and promoting national evidence-based standards of competence and credentialing.

North Caroline Acupuncture Licensing Board. The purpose of the North Carolina Acupuncture Licensing Board (NCALB) is to promote the health, safety and welfare of the North Carolina public through the licensure and regulation of acupuncturists.

North Carolina Society of Acupuncture and Asian Medicine (NCSAAM). The State Association for Acupuncturists. Their mission is to promote the highest standards of professional practice for Acupuncture and East Asian Medicine in North Carolina. The Association provides its members, the public, and policymakers, resources for ensuring the preservation and advancement of the art, science, and practice of East Asian Medicine. 

American Society of Acupuncturists. A resource for those interested in finding the best of  acupuncture and East Asian medicine (EAM) in the United States, and for those advocating for the highest standards of education and practice.  Our membership includes the highest trained practitioners in the states, and together we work to promote the best in EAM for the American public.
